Privacy Policy

1. Who this policy is from

This policy covers the mobile game Startup Tycoon, published by Fatih Kayan (“we”, “us”). If you have any question about it, write to fatihkayann20@gmail.com.

2. What we do not do

• We do not ask for your name, email address, phone number or date of birth.
• We do not create an account for you, and there is nothing to log in to.
• We do not upload, back up or sync your save file.
• We do not track you across other apps or websites, and we do not use your device’s Advertising Identifier.
• We do not sell or share your personal information, and we do not work with data brokers.

3. Data stored on your device

Everything you do in the game — your company, your staff, your products, your balance, your progress and your settings — is written to a database inside the app’s own private storage on your device. We cannot read it, and it is removed when you delete the app.

4. Analytics

The app uses PostHog to understand how the game is played — for example which screens are opened, when a run is started or sold, and when a product is launched. This tells us where players get stuck so we can fix it.

These events are attached to a pseudonymous identifier: your Game Center player identifier if you are signed in to Game Center, and otherwise a random identifier generated on your device the first time you play. That identifier is not your name and cannot be used to contact you.

Analytics events never contain the contents of your save file.

5. Crash and performance reporting

The app uses Sentry to report crashes and performance problems, so that a bug that ruins a run can be found and fixed. A crash report contains technical information about the failure: the error, the code path that produced it, your device model and operating-system version, and the version of the app you were running.

A small sample of sessions (roughly one in ten) also records a masked replay of the screen, which helps show what led up to a crash. Text is masked by default, and the game contains no personal information to capture.

6. Advertising

The app shows optional rewarded video ads through Google AdMob. You are never forced to watch one — they are offered in exchange for an in-game speed boost, and the game is fully playable without ever tapping them.

Every ad request is marked non-personalized. In practice this means:

• Your device’s Advertising Identifier (IDFA) is not used.
• The app never shows the iOS “Ask App not to Track” prompt, because it does not track you.
• Ads are selected from general, contextual information such as your rough region and the app you are in — not from a profile of your interests or your activity in other apps.

Google still processes limited technical data to serve and measure an ad and to prevent fraud. Google’s handling of that data is described in its own policy, linked in section 10.

7. Purchases

The app sells optional consumable in-app purchases (in-game diamonds). Payment is handled entirely by Apple — we never see your card number, billing address or Apple Account details.

We use RevenueCat to record which purchases have been made so they can be restored if you reinstall. RevenueCat stores the purchase receipt against the same pseudonymous identifier described in section 4.

8. Game Center

If you are signed in to Game Center, the app reads your Game Center player identifier and uses it as the identifier described in sections 4 and 7. It is used only to keep your progress and purchases consistent across reinstalls. If you are not signed in, a random local identifier is used instead and nothing is lost.

9. Children

Startup Tycoon is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has provided information to us, contact us at fatihkayann20@gmail.com and we will delete it.

11. Deleting your data

Your game data. Open Settings → Reset progress inside the app. This permanently erases the local database — your company, staff, products, history and diamonds. Deleting the app from your device has the same effect.

Your analytics and crash data. Email fatihkayann20@gmail.com and ask for deletion. Because the data is pseudonymous, please include the identifier shown under Settings → Analytics ID so we can find the right records.

Your purchases. Purchase records are held by Apple and by RevenueCat as a record of a transaction. Ask Apple directly for a refund or a purchase-history request.

12. Your rights

Depending on where you live — including the EU and UK under the GDPR, and California under the CCPA/CPRA — you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete the information we hold about you, and to object to certain processing. We do not sell or share personal information as those laws define it.

13. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes in a way that affects you, the effective date at the top of the page is updated and the new version is published here before the change takes effect. Continuing to play after that date means you accept the updated policy.
